June Holiday Workshop 2026: Help Your Child with English and Writing Confidence

The June holidays are coming. Many parents want to help their child use the break well without adding stress. Write Edge offers the June Workshop Programmes. It is a focused 4-week holiday course. It helps sharpen writing skills, fix common exam problems, and rebuild confidence before Term 3 starts.

Why the June Break is a Good Time for a Targeted Boost

For Secondary 1 to 4 students and upper-primary learners, the second half of the year often brings harder English paper demands. These include more complex comprehension passages, argumentative and discursive writing, summary skills, and tighter time limits during exams. A short holiday programme allows your child to work on these areas with expert guidance while the usual school workload is paused.

Write Edge’s June workshops are made for this purpose. They combine skill-based learning, hands-on practice, and personal feedback. Students see real improvement in just four weeks.

What the Workshop Covers and Why It Matters

For Primary 5 and 6 Students

If your child is preparing for PSLE or needs to build a stronger writing foundation, the Primary Creative Writing and English Enrichment tracks cover these skills:

  • Creative Writing – Students complete 2 to 3 full compositions. They practise Show-Not-Tell, the 5 Senses technique, and other key storytelling skills.
  • English Enrichment – Includes mock exam sessions, comprehension open-ended and visual text analysis, situational and continuous writing, grammar, vocabulary, and oral communication practice.

Both streams include a Pop Quiz Week to reinforce learning. Parents also receive a detailed update after the four lessons.

For Secondary 1 to 4 Students

The Secondary English Mastery programme is for older students who need to improve quickly. It covers:

  • Narrative Comprehension – Strategies to handle inference, language use, and summary questions.
  • Argumentative and Discursive Writing – Techniques for structuring essays that score well.
  • Situational Writing and Summary Skills – Practical, exam-focused practice.

Each 2 hour lesson balances teaching, guided practice, and individual feedback. Students leave with a clearer understanding of what examiners look for. They also gain confidence.
