WEgivesback

At Write Edge, our goal is to make the mastery of English and writing accessible to as many students as possible.

We recognise that not every child has access to a nurturing and strong language environment.

With WEgivesback, the Write Edge team hopes to contribute to the community in the small ways that we can. Explore our work where we strive to support children and create a better world for them.

Donation to EtonHouse Community Fund

EtonHouse Community Fund (ECF) was founded with the vision to make good quality education accessible to every child in Singapore.

They believe that every child should get the support they deserve to grow to their fullest, regardless of their background.

Write Edge contributed $10,000 as part of their 2023 Charity Gala Dinner and this donation will reach and support vulnerable children with their learning.

Contributing To Children & Youth: EtonHouse Community Fund

To make a sustainable and meaningful impact to society through education, the EtonHouse Group founded EtonHouse Community Fund in 2015, an IPC charity to improve the lives of children, youth and families from vulnerable backgrounds. Till date, ECF has impacted more than 11,000 families and has won several awards and accolades.

Through our participation with EtonHouse’s Charity Gala, Write Edge aims to contribute to children and youth.

Supporting Our Community Without Barriers: Kids In Play

This programme was launched in 2000 to meet the needs of those affected by the incarceration of their loved ones.

Due to the sudden absence of their loved ones, the caregiver can become overwhelmed by the added responsibilities he/she needs to undertake.

Often, they are unable to cope with the children’s academic needs as the day-to-day needs demand most of their attention.

Our purpose is to find a way to make a sustainable, long-term impact in the lives of underprivileged students’ by giving them a structured, safe, conducive and productive environment to learn English and Writing.

Aiding Families In Need: Mind The Gap

The Write Edge Team is involved in the Project “Mind The Gap”, a collaboration with with AWARE.

“Mind The Gap” is a Fundraising Project, set up by Beyond Social Services and other organisations, including AWARE, during Circuit Breaker to support Low-Income families through Covid-19.

Through this project, AWARE aims to provide immediate financial and practical support to families in dire need, mostly single-mothers above 40 years old, with little educational background.

Due to Covid-19, more than 80% of these beneficiaries have seen a decrease in their household income.

Through our collaboration with AWARE, Write Edge endeavours to bring some joy and fun to the children of these beneficiaries, while empowering them in their education through interactive reading and writing activities.
