What is the weekly process like?
• Students will attend Zoom lessons during their regular class timing.
• For PCW classes, P1-P2 students will write their answers in their worksheet as well as write their composition on foolscap paper. After the class, the composition should be scanned and submitted via Google Classroom. P3-P6 students will also write their answers in their worksheet but type their composition on Google Classroom.
• For PEE and SEM classes, students will use our e-worksheets on Google Classroom and type their answers using Kami.
Where do I find the link to login to my Zoom lessons?
• A Zoom link with password will be sent to you via ClassDojo.
• You will then be prompted to open your Zoom app to join the session.
• You can use the same Zoom link for your child’s lesson every week.
How are the Zoom lessons conducted?
What do I need to do before my Zoom lessons?
• Prepare the lesson’s worksheets, writing paper and stationeries.
• If you do not have the hardcopy worksheets, do ensure that your child has the soft copy for his/her reference during the lesson.
What if my child cannot make it for his/her usual slot? Can I arrange for a replacement class?
• You may contact your centre managers for replacement class options.
• Replacement class can only be done within the same week.
The Zoom lesson is over. What do I do next?
• Students are to complete any work assignment / Draft 1 and submit it on Google Classroom.
Can I book a 1-1 zoom slot instead?
• No. At this moment, 1-1 slots are not available.
• Lessons will be conducted during your child’s regular class timings.
What is the deadline for submitting homework?
1. Students are allowed to submit their homework within 7 days of their actual class.
(E.g.: Actual class on Friday, 6 Jan. Submission due date on 12 Jan, 2359)
2. Teachers are given 7 days to mark and return their work after the due date.
(E.g.: Due date on 12 Jan, 2359. Worksheets marked and returned by 19 Jan, 2359)
This set of protocols were implemented for the following reasons:
1. Quality marking: To provide constructive comments, set targets and highlight areas for improvement.
2. Due to a full class schedule, teachers require ample time to assess and mark scripts.
3. To standardise processes between Online and Physical classes to minimise discrepancies for both students and teachers.
